Verify Humphreys County Supervision

Humphreys County parole and probation records can show whether a person remains under state supervision after leaving a jail or prison. Parole and probation are not the same legal status, so the right office and record depend on how the sentence was imposed. To verify Humphreys County post-release supervision, match the person in the state correction system, read the exact status, and confirm the listed supervision district when needed. A jail release alone does not prove that supervision began or ended. Court orders, parole decisions, and correction records each answer a different part of the question.

Humphreys Parole Versus Probation

Parole is a conditional release from confinement before the sentence expires. The Tennessee Board of Parole decides whether parole will be granted and handles revocation or rescission matters. A grant is not proof that the person has walked out. TDOC must approve the release plan and satisfy the pre-release checks before physical release occurs. The Board can also rescind, or withdraw, a grant before that event.

Probation is imposed by a sentencing court. It can be ordered without a prison term or after split confinement, which means part of a sentence is served in jail and the rest under community supervision. The TDOC Community Supervision Division supervises both parolees and probationers, but their legal authority is different. TDOC states that a person leaving split confinement for probation must report to the probation or parole officer within 48 hours.

Verify Humphreys Post-Release Supervision

The public starting point is the TDOC Felony Offender Information Lookup, called FOIL. As of the August 1, 2026 review, it covered felony offenders in state prisons, eligible state offenders housed in county facilities, and people on TDOC community supervision. It is not a full record of every local misdemeanor case. A person who finished a short Humphreys County Jail sentence and has only a local probation record may require a court record even when FOIL returns nothing.

  1. Search FOIL by first and last name. Use the TOMIS ID tab when that state identifier is known, and include aliases only when needed.
  2. Match date of birth and descriptive details. Never treat a name alone as a sure identity match.
  3. Open the detail and copy the status exactly. Note whether it says parole, probation, inactive, incarcerated, or another term, along with the location or supervision entry.
  4. For probation, obtain the filed sentencing or probation order from the proper Humphreys court when the scope or term must be confirmed.
  5. For parole, move from the Board action to the approved plan and release certificate, then confirm that FOIL shows community status rather than confinement.
  6. Call District 80 for the correct public contact route if the online supervision location is unclear. Staff may withhold protected case-management details.

A missing FOIL match proves only that no matching public result was found at that time. It can reflect spelling, an old record, a local-only case, or protected data. For the county release episode itself, the Humphreys County released-inmate search and record path explains how the iSOMS Release Date and court docket corroborate the jail exit.

Note: Record the lookup date because FOIL supervision and custody details can change after a new order, transfer, or discharge.

Humphreys Supervision District 80

Humphreys County belongs to TDOC Community Supervision District 80. The district also serves Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Montgomery, and Stewart counties. TDOC's reviewed directory identifies a Waverly courtesy-reporting channel, but it does not give a dependable public street address or hours for that local point. The sound route is to call the Clarksville district office and ask where the person has been directed to report.

100 Providence Boulevard, Suite A
Clarksville, TN 37042
Phone: 931-648-5550
Fax: 931-648-5565

The office can explain its public contact procedure, but a caller should not expect confidential case notes or every condition of supervision. Bring the full name and TOMIS ID if known. Do not travel to an assumed Waverly site based on an old listing. The TDOC office directory remains the source to check for later changes.

Humphreys Supervision Rules and Violations

Parole and probation usually require reporting and compliance with the controlling certificate or court order. The public FOIL entry will not show each personal condition. A claimed violation can lead to court action, a Board hearing, changed conditions, or revocation. Revocation means the authority may cancel community supervision and return the person to confinement. It should not be assumed from rumor, a missed appointment, or an old booking card.

For parole, official hearing types include final revocation, custodial review, post-parole rescission, and appeal review. A hearing officer may recommend an outcome, while Board members take the action required by law. The result may revoke or reinstate supervision. For probation, the sentencing court controls the legal status. Search the court docket for a filed violation, warrant, order, or disposition when FOIL alone does not explain the change.

Important: A supervision allegation, warrant listing, or scheduled hearing does not by itself establish custody, revocation, or a new release date.

Humphreys Warrants Are Not Absconders

The Humphreys County Sheriff's iSOMS warrants list is a distinct local channel. It can display a name, issue date, warrant number and type, court, charge, and bond. Those fields concern local judicial process. They do not make the page a statewide parole-absconder list, and the research found no general official public Tennessee parole or probation absconder database.

A warrant also does not prove that the named person is now in jail. It can coexist with an earlier valid release timestamp. Confirm identity first, then use the issuing court for the filed process and FOIL or District 80 for the separate supervision status. Keeping the systems apart avoids a common error: turning a local warrant into an unsupported claim that parole was revoked.

Note: The warrant page is a process record, while FOIL and the supervising authority address the person's current parole or probation status.

Humphreys Parole Decision Path

The Board posts separate state-prison schedules and county-jail schedules. The schedules list a TDOC ID, name, hearing type, date, and institution. They are updated on Monday, or Tuesday after a Monday holiday, and remain subject to change. The Board directs readers to call 615-741-1150 to verify a date.

A calendar entry is not a decision. Even a grant does not prove release. The sequence is eligibility, scheduled hearing, final Board action, approved release plan, release certificate, and then FOIL community status. A pre-parole rescission can stop a grant before physical release. No standalone public Board decisions database was found, so an individual result may need confirmation through FOIL and the institutional probation or parole officer.

Eligibility is governed by Tenn. Code Ann. § 40-35-501 and offense-specific rules. The Board weighs the offense, record, program work, time served, institutional conduct, and community input. Those factors are not a promise of release. They explain why an eligibility date and hearing can occur while the person remains confined.

Humphreys Post-Custody Release Forms

TDOC recognizes more than parole and ordinary probation. Determinate release may apply to specified shorter felony sentences after the statutory part has been served and an objection process is complete. Community corrections is a court-ordered alternative for qualifying cases. Mandatory reentry supervision under Tenn. Code Ann. § 40-35-506 applies to covered felony offenses committed on or after July 1, 2021.

For qualifying people, reentry supervision may place the final year in the community when the legal criteria are met. Some people who cannot receive that placement before expiration instead receive a year of community supervision after expiration. These statuses help explain why a person can be physically outside Humphreys County Jail yet remain visible in TDOC records. The exact FOIL term and filed order matter more than the broad label “released.”

Humphreys Supervision Record Requests

When FOIL does not supply enough public detail, request the existing record from the office that holds it. A TDOC historical request should identify the full name, TOMIS number if known, date of birth, the exact sentence or supervision record sought, and requester contact information. TDOC's archived-record route says an archive-search charge may apply, tells requesters not to prepay, and provides the charge after processing.

For probation imposed in Humphreys County, ask the proper court clerk for the filed judgment, probation order, violation filing, completion entry, or discharge order that already exists. The clerk should not be asked to calculate or interpret supervision. A focused request tied to a docket and named document is more reliable than asking for a broad account of the person's history.

How Humphreys Supervision Ends

Release from confinement is not the same as discharge. A parolee can remain under the original sentence until completion, while a probationer remains bound by the court order until the court or supervising authority closes the term. FOIL may later show inactive or historical information. “Inactive” is a useful clue, but it is not a universal description of why supervision ended.

For a durable answer, match the FOIL status with the final certificate, discharge record, or court completion entry. If the question concerns how the date was reached, the Humphreys County inmate release-date page separates eligibility, sentence expiration, and actual release. Records can change after a later case or correction, so identify the sentence and custody episode being checked.

A clean verification uses three facts: the right person, the right sentence, and the right date. That method also preserves the distinction between release to the community, active supervision, and full discharge.
