Humphreys VINELink Release Coverage
Tennessee brands the service as Tennessee SAVIN / VINE through VINELink. SAVIN means Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification. The HCSO victim-rights information supports SAVIN/VINE notification for county-jail cases, while TDOC's VINE program addresses people in state correction custody. The source agency on the individual record tells which layer supplied the event.
The service can show current custody or a recent release or custody status. It can also send confidential notices through the contact methods offered. VINELink is not the sentencing docket, the jail's permanent archive, or TDOC's official sentence worksheet. It does not replace Humphreys iSOMS for a county release or FOIL for state sentence and supervision information.
Federal Bureau of Prisons and immigration custody are outside this coverage. Use the BOP locator for a federal case and ICE's locator for immigration detention. A missing VINELink record cannot settle either question.
Search Humphreys VINELink by Person
Search one person and one custody episode at a time. A shared name is not enough. Compare the identifiers and the reporting agency before reading the result as a Humphreys County Jail or TDOC event.

Available fields vary by the agency and record. The safest practice is to quote only what the matched result displays. A released or out-of-custody label is a lead for direct confirmation, while a no-result remains inconclusive because VINELink is not an archival ledger.

Registration must be attached to the correct matched record. Tennessee VINE can offer phone or TTY calls, text messages, email, or app delivery. The exact options may vary. More than one method is useful because no notification system is infallible.
- Open the verified person record and select its notification option.
- Choose the phone, TTY, SMS, email, or app method offered and enter the contact details carefully.
- Complete the contact or account verification sent by the service.
- Create a four-digit PIN when prompted. Keep it private and use support if it must be reset.
- For an automated call, listen to the event and enter the PIN followed by the pound sign to acknowledge it and stop repeat calls for that event.
- Add a second delivery method and update registration when the phone number or email changes.

TDOC release policy adds a key warning. A “release” to a county detainer means release from TDOC to the county custodian, not release to the community. A detainer is a legal hold or request from another authority. TDOC routes notification registrants to SAVIN for the receiving jail in that situation.
This county-to-state handoff is why the event text, destination, and source agency matter as much as the word “release.” Contact the named custodian when they conflict.
Verify Humphreys VINELink County Events
A county notification should be matched to the exact iSOMS booking episode. Humphreys County publishes rolling 24-hour and 72-hour mixed intake and release feeds, followed by a historical name search with a Released checkbox. Each recent card can show identity details, intake time, arresting agency, charge, bond, and Release Date. Cards with blank and populated release fields appear in the same feed.
A populated Release Date establishes departure from that booking episode. It does not state whether the reason was bond, time served, dismissal, probation, or transfer. The HCSO booking or release sheet and the filed court order answer that next question. If the event has not posted, call jail control through 931-296-2301 and ask whether the person left for the community or another custodian.
Do not use the live jail roster as the released-person archive. A released person may drop from that current-custody context while the historical Released search preserves the episode. HCSO publishes no guaranteed update cadence or online retention term, so an absent result needs the record-request and court fallback.
Verify Humphreys VINELink State Events
A TDOC-sourced alert belongs with the Felony Offender Information Lookup. FOIL can cover a state prisoner, an eligible state offender held locally, or a person under TDOC community supervision. Search by name or TOMIS ID, match the date of birth and descriptive data, then open the detail. Read status, location, sentence information, release data, and parole information as a set.
Parole is release from confinement under supervision, not full discharge from the sentence. A Board grant can precede physical release while the plan and other conditions remain under review. An inactive FOIL status may point to a former state record, but it is not a release-reason label. For lasting proof, request the release authorization, final release date and type, or discharge record from TDOC.
This state layer can coexist with a Humphreys jail card. Some state offenders are housed in county facilities. Match the timestamp and custodian before deciding whether two records conflict.
No Humphreys VINELink Match
A no-result does not prove that no booking, custody, or release occurred. It may reflect a spelling difference, alias, delayed agency data, an expired recent-event window, a protected record, a nonparticipating agency, or the wrong state or custody system. Try a known offender or case identifier and check the source agency expected for that episode.

For a state event, review FOIL status, release information, and the TDOC record. A Board grant alone does not prove physical exit because a plan may still need approval or a grant may be rescinded.
Federal BOP and ICE detention require their own locators. A Tennessee registry can document a separate legal registration status for a qualifying person, but it cannot establish the date or reason for release. The strongest confirmation always comes from the agency record that created the custody event.
